Alright then. I've since looked up the Detroit/Hamtramck plant and the XTS doesn't show up on the list.

Bottom line is.....more really good paying jobs lost that will never come back :(. Our manufacturing section is taking a shit kicking like crazy.

Electricity might be a reason, but the fact that our dollar is near parity probably has more to do with it. A decade ago, our dollar was worth about $0.65 US. Now its $0.96. Thats around a 50% increase. And that applies to everything: electricity, wages, locally supplied parts, and transportation. Granted, our dollar was kinda low back in the early 2000's, but it has been very high for most of the last 5 years. Over the last 30 years its typically been between $0.70 and $0.80.
