but, lets say later down the road, my graphics card isn't up to par, would it be better to just get one better card, lets say the one you have, or use two of the same card i have now?

it depends on how much later we're talking about

like for me, I'll keep my setup maybe for 2 years before I upgrade
My old set up was still able to play games like BF3 at Ultra setting and bring in 40-50 fps avg. That was with two cards, and me wanting to play at "max" settings. If I dropped it down a notch one card would have been able to support the game but not at ultra at the rate my two were working.

In the end, its up to you. if you don't play to crossfire/sli. Its better to upgrade when you want to.

well, the wattage sucks on yours. two of mine is way less than one of yours. memory bandwidth is really the only thing that is a huge difference, 1GB. your texel rate would be 24% better, i could live with that. and pixel rate would be better on mine. So for about half the price, it's almost the same, just a little worse. lol granted, you have 2 of them.

yea, the watts really hurts my card. Its power hungry but not as much as my old card.
