Soooooo I bought a mustang gt

So I've test drove my buddies stock z28 A4 and test drove the mustang gt that I was planning on buying.. I waited a few weeks after selling my v6 maro to pull the trigger, after being unsuccessful on finding a decent ls1 for an affordable price I went ahead and pulled the trigger on my mustang
Performance coils 70mm throttle body K&n intake bigger injectors not sure what they are high flow cats pypes exhaust 245 fronts and 275 falkens on the back wrapping my american racing rims SFCs and some other stuff we are still trying to figure out what else is done to it...
When I first found her all neglected

Now as she sits

Getting a two car garage home this fall hoping to be putting a ss next to my mustang

Nice car! I have a friend with a 2002 GT and they are nice cars. Pretty fast to.

I had a full bolt-on 04 GT, minus LTs. 4.10 gears, off road mid pipe, plenum,TB,JLT, etc etc. DYNO'd 253 RWHP.....sold it a few weeks later.

make sure you only race rice, and make damn sure they dont have a turbo or nitrous.

Seriously, your car looks very nice. Even with the minor boltons, do yourself a favor and do not run Ellis juans because and decent driver is going to rip your heart out when all you see is him pulling away at a rapid clip.

I test drove a 2001 gt before buying my ss and it wasn't even close when the go pedal is mashed. The gt even had 373 gears with the 5 speed, catback, k&n and pullies.

Again, great looking car and the rims really set it off. The car looks really clean. Like another poster said, careful who you line up against until you add some forced induction.

Don't get me wrong -- it's a nice car. A great power upgrade over the 3800. I also can understand your desire to find something fast, so it was available and voila! Sort of like what I did long ago when I sold my IROC for a 5.0. Everyone said to find a LT1 car, but nope, I couldn't wait (this was back in 2001 when LS1's were still new and I was still in HS). I then regretted the decision... the entire time I owned the car.

Just keep it clean and take care of it. You can then sell it and hopefully break even so that you can pick up a LS1 car -- unless you begin to really enjoy Mustangs. Then you can upgrade to a 03/04 Cobra or new 5.0

lol thanks guys, yea haven't tried racing it. the most ill do to it is a 75 shot... I REALLY want the best of both worlds I have my mind set on a 02 ss in the future. The mustang is paid for so I can start working on the Maro. *Puts a dollar in the piggy bank*
