We painted our race car with house paint and foam rollers.

It looks a crapload better than that does though!

I used to work in the movie biz... the dude I worked for owned military vehicles that he would rent to the studios. For "Under Siege 2: Dark Territory," we didn't have enough Humvees available, so we used my boss's personal Hummer, a red H1 (this was when these bad boys had JUST reached the civilian market, after Ahnold insisted... driving one around was very fun, commanded all the attention!). We sprayed it with Mop 'n' Glo... then, using brushes and rollers, painted the thing military camo. Completed the shoot, then ran the Hummer through the car wash... a little high pressure water, and every single molecule of military came off... easily returned to its fiery red glory.

Anyway... even THAT paint job looked incomparably better than whatever happened to that Vette...!

Had a buddy in high school... he was painting his Nova on the installment plan. Every time he got a couple of bucks, he'd buy another can of black spray paint. THAT looked better than the Vette.

My ex was spray paining one day... during a light breeze. She was careful, moved a full five feet away from the car. White speckles all over the new purple Grand Am. Of course, that looked terrible, so she got a scouring pad, and scrubbed all of the paint spots off... along with the purple paint. THAT looked better than the Vette.

Some dude built a fake Bugatti Veyron... I thing he built it on a Mercury Cougar frame. Did it in his backyard... and, indeed, it looked WAY better than that Vette.

Saw a movie in which the bad guys painted their cars with water- based crappy paint. They committed a crime, and headed for the car wash... immediately washed all of the blue paint off, and were suddenly in red, yellow, and brown cars... every one of those cars looked better than the Vette... before AND after the car wash.

What the hell... did somebody paint the thing with nail polish?!?
