Something I forgot about is that the military is keeping pilots longer. Whenever the industry picks back up some of them will be jumping ship. Unfortunately, they have the advantage over those of us that had to pay our way. Everyday I wish I could have passed the Air Force flight physical, but its something us civilian pilots have to deal with.

Thank you. Yeah, I really hope the industry rebounds as well. That would definitely make for more opportunities to switch careers, and hopefully increase the quality of life for current pilots as well as working conditions.

I hear you on the military flight physical man. I REALLY wish I would have attempted the application process. I am 28 and a half right now, and it's highly doubtful I'll get hired before I time out on the maximum age. The UPT pipeline is also backed out from what I've heard, and there aren't many aircraft to be assigned, which makes getting a pilot slot even more difficult. There isn't a day that goes by that I regret not applying. I could apply and take all their test and just give a go in hopes of someone giving me the pilot slot, finish OTS, and graduate UPT all before I reach 30 years old. It's not even close to likely, but I like to stay as optimistic as possible .

Nothing out there yet. Should be real interesting.

They removed the amunition out of it. Hopefully it will me moved and restored someday and not forgotten.

I refuse to give up.. I want to be a pilot.. Im getting the corrective eye surgery.. and Im going for it.. Im going to study my ass off but i have till 34 to make the cut.. I want to fly.. i want to stare at the ground while inverted and just be amazed.. I want to Throttle Up after gettin cleared for takeoff and go vertical at the end of the runway... you can all tell me what ive already heard.. its too late...surgery wont cut it... they wont accept prior service.. But I dont want to just give up without a fight..plus ill get that degree i always wanted

What I really need to do is talk to a Fighter Pilot and ask him questions.. processes and chances of getitng to fly the plane that i want to fly..
