Disney's distributor double crossed him and cut him out. So Disney redsigned the ears and made him a mouse. Oswald carried on into the early thirties with other animators, but Disney cartoon superiority overwhelmed the other cartoons.
a few years ago..you won't believe this ,ABC which is owned by Disney traded sportscaster Al Michaels to NBC/ Universal, and in return they got the rights back to Oswald. They featured him a year or so back in the Nintendo wii game Epic Mickey. |
