Corvette is nothing less than iconic. Like other brands (think Porsche and Audi), Chevy makes a model that gets younger people and then they offer bigger and more powerful models for those people to grow into. Heck, even Lamborghini announced this year that they will be introducing a "starter" Lambo. To me, that's just smart business.
IMO, the vette will lose its " nothing else less than iconic if they go to a tt v6.."
I just hope that that the pony cars keep the v8 option... I don't want a v6 "Muscle Car" I don't care how much power it has. JMHO

They will lose some of the older people who fight change but in reality, those are the older, retired people who are buying vettes and keeping them until they die. GM can't afford to only please those people and still turn a profit. They need the younger crowd. They need the teens to replace that poster of the GTR with one of the vette. That's the future and they love the turbos and supercharges. I love it too. Give me a twin turbo with 650hp that still gets good gas mileage any day of the week. Especially if you can tune it to get anothe 100+hp.

Base Corvette, Grand Sport, Z06, ZR1 I'm sorry but if you can only get a car a certain way then it is more exclusive. If you can't afford a ZR1 get a Z06 if you can't afford that get a Grand Sport a so on.

Can't afford a Viper, well looks like your not getting one.

It's not whether it sells less that makes it exclusive it's the fact that the Corvette is watered down with model after model.

Of course it's smart business it's the same model that is being used for the Mustang and now the Camaro, the more models to water down the more potential buyers but SRT doesn't seem to care about that. They want to appeal to the true driving enthusiast the same enthusiasts that bought the first two generations of Viper, people that want a car that they aren't going to see every day. The Corvette unfortunately it doesn't matter if you have a ZR1 or Z06 the car still looks like a Corvette. Sure there are minor changes but that does not change the fact that the base models exist and that was my point...

Exactly.

Viper is way way more exclusive than the Vette will ever be. But if you are talking heritage...well of course the Vette has more.
