Tons more?? Sounds like a ringer, just like all the other japanese "performance" cars that the manufacturers send out to the mags.

Edmunds only got a 13.2 @ 109 in their IS-F.

Better yet, instead of comparing it to a car that is less than half its price, compare it to the CTS-V - which pummels the IS-F in every category, especially styling - and costs the same amount.

The IS-F uses an 8 speed torque converter automatic. No manual is offered, because Toyota can't figure out how to build a manual trans that can properly support 400+HP.

Weight is very similar. You wouldn't notice a difference driving the 2 cars, its less than 100lbs.

3. the is-f is faster to the 1/4 than the camaro.
4. the transmission is more advanced than what ford or chevy have to offer at the moment.

Its called sticking an extra set of planetaries in the tailshaft of the transmission, there is nothing advanced about that.

GM's 6L90E is a much stronger trans than anything Toyota makes.

And how about comparing the IS-F to a car in its price range?? CTS-V, perhaps?? The Camaro is less than HALF of what the IS-F costs.
