so......xm radio called me last night. they said they just called to make sure all my info was up to date. then the guy was like "oh, looks like your subscription was over feb 9th and we tried to renew your service on the card we have on file for you, but was declined."

Well, i've had xm service since feb 9th, so i didn't realize my service was up. and why are they giving me service, if my card was declined. (changed my debit card since last year).

So basically, they went ahead and kept me on their service and was charging me, even though they didn't have a way for me to pay. So I asked them if they could give me the $77/year deal. he said no. So i said i'll go ahead and cancel. He told me he couldn't do that, and that he would transfer me to the right department.

After I got transfered, the new guy asked what he could do for me. I told him i'm not going to pay $165 for xm, and that i wanted to cancel. i told him that when i got the service, that the lady told me i could renew after a year for the same price. So he did whatever he could to get me the same deal. which he did. got the $77/year, but then he said he had to charge me a prorated amount from Feb 9th until now. which ended up being about $15. I told him that that's not going to happen. lol I said, "how is it my fault that you guys kept me on your plan, even though my card was denied? you should have just turned off my service." So he said he'd have to talk to his manager. after being on hold for about 5minutes, he comes back and tells me they are able to waive the $15. lol

I then tell him to send me a bill, because i don't want to give them my card number, so they can't pull the same bs next year.

So all in all, i got xm for another year for $77.

sorry for the long post, but it's not like it's busy in here. lol

yeah, they'll do that every time. lol guess they'd rather have you for cheap, than not have you at all. lol

main reason i have it is for the house stations. it's hard to find that kind of music on the local channels.
