Im sure this is just a simple misunderstanding.. but then again. how do you NOT know what keys are NOT theirs... id proceed with caution... and reprogram the car to accept a different remote..

ive heard a story once something similar to this... someone thought they "lost" their keys.. they had the car towed back home and they woke up and their car was gone the next morning..... even thoguh they secured it and locked it with the spare set.. the keys they thought were lost somebody pick-pocketed them very smoothly.... so be very careful.. what kinda car did they leave you with?? lol hope its Not a MUSTANG....

I agree. Seems fishy. I'd tow it to the dealer and have them reprogam it like they mentioned above.

Here is the story. I was at Sheetz and I laid my keys on the counter when I went to pay. The lady next to me picked them up. She put them in her purse thinking they were hers. She already had her keys with her and used them to start her car.


Well she returned the keys. She didn't have enough time to make a spare it was only 45 minutes.

My other roommate bought me the spare because I refuse to leave the car.

This was going to be the plan if I didn't get the keys back. I wasn't letting that car leave my line of sight.

Yeah, I really just think she was in a rush. I could have happened to anyone. I don't think she wanted my car...probably didn't know what I Camaro is.
