I don't drive a mustang because of our families experience with fords 6.0 super duty in two of our work trucks and the 6.4 in our third dump truck. They wouldn't stand behind their product...

like both for some cars. Of course i like the camaro more but their new shelbys with the 5.0 and the boss is sweet but not as sweet as the zl1. But if i were to go out and buy a brand new truck i would stop by ford first and see a raptor. I love those trucks. With some headers a tune and a can they sound so nice and bad a$$

It's not that I dislike Ford, I just dislike most the pompous Ford owners. Nothing grinds my gears more than hearing "I would never own a Government Motors car" or an equivalent statement from a Ford owner. I always try to point out the fact that Ford needed a bailout back in 2006 from "private investors" in order to stay alive; it just wasn't as publicized.

...just ask your buddy why Henry Ford supported Hitler and the Nazi's in pre-war Germany, and General Motors had to help save Ford's ass!!

It all goes back to the days before there were import companies to contend with...Ford and Chevy were your choices...

Yeah, it is to an extent a family history thing. My dad was a GM man & My uncle a Ford guy. Something about spending a lifetime making F-O-R-D jokes (all the many acronyms that you can make from FORD) tends to get in your head. When I was car shopping I drove a kind of nice metalic gold Mustang. It was okay but when it came right down to it, it was a FORD. Like others have said with Chevy is is not just about performance, it is quality & looks too.

And nothing looks as bad azz & sexy as our Camaros!

im a huge NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon and Hendrick Motorsports fan so i grew up loving Chevy....then the 5th gen camaro was introduced and i was like WOAH that is the best looking car...i need that
