+1 to that Chase. They are sticking to the big V10. Pretty impressive numbers and I'm sure 700HP is just around the corner. The C7 Vette and 3rd gen Viper should have some fun match ups in the near future. |

that much power in a car like that is insane. thats one of the only reasons i like the Viper, they are so fast. im usually pure GM but i can appreciate the Viper. itll be a good comparison of the C7 ZR1 and this Viper

I'm guessing this goes for about 120k or so. Interestingly, I've read SRT may make a cheaper version with the 6.4 in it. A car with the same powerplant as the SRT8 minus 1,000 lbs. could be pretty fun to drive.

Doubtful. Ferarri might help out but if its got a V8 it would most certainly be based on the Hemi engines the Chrysler brands currently use, and probably the 6.4L one. Some people love the sound of a high strung flat-plane V8, but the target demo for Vipers generally prefer the sound (and price and torque) of big cross-plane V8s

They could have said that about the last Viper, yet it was around $20K less IIRC.

It would be freaking awesome if the next viper has 666hp!!! I know somebody at dodge must have thought about it.
