The Super Bowl win is the pinnacle of his season, I'm sure that he was not worried about some car that he has money to buy.

I would have wanted to get down and celebrate with family and teammates as well. Those sports broadcasters ask the dumbest questions anyway.

I will still swap him the Toyota of his choice straight up for the GS - no questions asked.

No matter what type of car it is, who his sponsor is, or how much money he has, it all comes down to having couth. Which he did not display at all in this situation. Say what you want about NASCAR ,but some of the people in these other sports could stand to take a page out of the drivers playbooks when it comes to treating people with respect.

That was the worst play Manning made all day. I'm still glad they won though.

They (sponsors) should totally ditch awarding something to a very wealthy individual as a "prize". Do they really expect him to get all excited?
Its just an old throwback anachronism that alway seems to come off badly.

Back in the day, ball players might get a farm tractor or something to help out with the family farm in the off-season. Something they normally couldn't afford, would appreciate and find useful!!

Doing that sort of thing with pro ball players these days is pretty pointless.

geez, you guys are rough. Eli never gets into any trouble, is NEVER in the NY headlines for any off the field BS (and NY media is always watching).

If this is the biggest complaint about Eli as a person, we should be happy. No drug charges, Steroids, DWI, Wife/GF beating, Crashing Bentleys, Gun charges, Escort girls, Hooking up w/ college girls, Texting penises ETC.....Leave St. Eli alone and let us GIANTS FANS enjoy our championship.

The "prize" served its purpose: It looked sweet on the field at the SuperBowl. That exposure was the point, not Eli.

Um...do remember Toyota is the same company that builds the Lexus IS-F and Lexus LFA. Cars that are beautiful and sporty in their own right. I don't see a problem with him supporting Toyota.

Don't be butthurt because you are a Patriots fan or something....
I agree, and when I first watched I didn't hear the thank you's hence why on page one I said " I didn't hear that, and I digress"

I agree, I just expect people to at least as if they care, even if it was just gm publicity

Congrats on the win I'm a bucs fan, so I had no horse in this race, since week 4

Agreed, again I guess I just expect people to be grateful. Maybe it's to much
