I know there is more options in the 9mm but what im looking for is concealability (if thats a word). the clothing i prefer to wear is a little for me to easily conceal it, i shot my grandfathers PPK (james, james bond) and really like it as well but im still leaning towards the lil .380 because it fits comfortably into my pocket. why are you not a fan of the .380 other than price if thats of issue
I pocket carry a KAHR PM40 every day. In jeans, in slacks at work, in shorts during the summer. It's easy to shoot and 100% reliable. My daughter carries an LCP .380...but I much prefer the KAHR. You may want to at least look at the KAHR PM9. Just sayin.

Better than nothing, of course, but hardly a one shot stop.
Although some of the newer bullets come pretty close to 9mm performance under ideal conditions.
I would carry something in .45, or at least .40 if I could. Fasion be dammed.
Can you explain what a "one shot stop" is? My understanding is that a well placed .22 cal can stop someone faster than a badly placed .45 cal.

The point being is that getting into cal. vs cal. argument is a bad idea. The advice that should be given is to get something that is 100% reliable, something that can be handled easily/ accruately, and something that can be carried everyday....regardless of clothing.

I agree! Besides that the way I have been eating I have no room in my pants for anything bigger!!

Glock

I carry a Glock 23 in 40 S&W and it's a very comfortable carry weapon. My wife carries a Bersa Thunder 380 which is probably one of the most concealable carries on the market today with reasonable stopping power. The Bersa, at under $300, is a great bargain as well. My Glock 23 carries 16 rounds and is a little on the heavy side for a semi-compact, but I feel confident that if I ever need to use it, it will serve me well.

if you put a regular 23 magazine in it, it should be a bit lighter and a bit smaller. (13 vs the 15 round mag u carry it with. Or did you mean glock 22?)

But the glocks are heavy for sure. i pocket carry a lcp everyday. A kahr pm9 or the new lc9 or lcr by ruger are also good choices for a light, easy concelabale gun.

I would rather see more people comfortbaly carrying a gun then not carrying at all. If i had my choice, I'd carry my kimber .45, but I would need a backpack to hide that thing on my narrow ass.

No, I had 2 clips left from my Glock Sig 357 and they carry more rounds. You're right, though, I normally carry with the standard clips...good catch.
I looked at a Kahr and they were even more pricey than the Glock, but very nice gun. If hiding wasn't the issue, I would have a new Remington R1 in 45 caliber...I love that gun.

I am not a Texas resident but I am going to say No because it would violate the NFA(National Firearms Act) of 1986 which prohibits weapons manufactured after May 1986 that fire more than one round with a single pull of the trigger from being able to be owned by individuals. They aren't allowed to be entered into the NFA registry.

Permit is also the wrong term. It is a tax stamp. You file paperwork and pay $200 each to the ATF for SBRs, SBSs, suppressors, etc and they enter the weapon into the NFA registry. It is a one time deal per weapon per NFA item. A short barreled rifle with a suppressor would be $400 for 2 tax stamps.

If you want burst or auto capability, buy a bumpfirestock for an AR15 (assuming you have one) or if you have an AK47, there is a company that makes a similar product for them as well.

specifically the thread titled "top NFA myths"

You do. It is part of the NFA.
