I really like both concepts and I vote for Chevy to build them just the way they appear now in concept form. They both appeal to a different side of the youth market and would surely cover all the demographics in a bid to bring the growing upwardly mobile import leaning segment to a Chevy store who would probably not dare think of a domestic compact coupe as a next new purchase. At first I really didn't care for the red code130r model but the more I look at it the more I'm loving it. It reminds me of the first non GM car I really lusted over back in my early years, the early to mid '80s 318i. It was lightweight with a small high revving 4 cylinder rear wheel drive fun to drive little car. As I remember Mark Reuss saying at the ATS's debut that the alpha chassis can be scaled down size wise and also sized up to meet a diverse portfolio in the rwd market for GM.

THESE TWO CARS ARE BONIFIED HITS!! Please build them yesterday!

I'm officially an old fogey, I don't see anything appealing in either car

Tweak the front end on the red one, give it something original, add 10:1 LB/HP motivation.... LOVE the greenhouse.

Needs work but it's close.

Are you sure? I don't recall ever seeing RS on anything other than the Camaro.....

Take the 130R concept and put the Nomad rear end on it. A functional RWD hot hatch? YOU BET! A hotrod-able mini-wagon...darn tootin.

Not an RS badge but the words Rally Sport or Rallye Sport. First appeared on the Camaro but found its way just like it is now onto other cars. Namely the Nova and Chevelle. I've seen very few Rally Sport Chevelles (could be fake or could be a lesser ordered option over the SS) but I've seen Rally Sport all over Novas.

Became the Rallye Nova by 1972

Pretty much an appearance package back then as it is now.

When "Super Sport" became an insurance-surcharged package, Chev countered with the Malibu "Heavy Chevy" in '71-'72, as well as the Nova "Rally", in addition to the full "Super Sport" packages for each. Essentially, they were appearance packages that did NOT require 4-bbl V8 engines like the SSs mandated.

Thus setting the precedent that I could kinda half explain up there.. herp.

Needless to say, nothing to complain about when Chevy is going cut and dry on what RS really was. And for it to be watered down rather than SS is probably for the best..

Let us never forget that travesty which was the '07 Malibu Maxx SS

130r with a more wagon style would be ok.
