Just hire a traffic lawyer. It will be cheaper in the end. They (hopefully) will get it reduced to a non-moving violation (no points) and you will pay a hefty fine (I have never seen a court that wouldn't take payments either, just don't be late or miss one or they issue a warrant which can result in your arrest and your car getting towed). You get to keep your license and your job if it works out.

Also, rarely a ticket gets thrown out on technicalities... it serves mostly as a reminder for you to go to court. If they cop puts the wrong date or time (of the violation, not court date) on it that is about the only way I have ever seen people get out of tickets without a lawyer, unless you fight it and the cop doesn't show up for the "trial".

Yeah i need to work on that.
Another thing is when i signed it he said to go to court on or before the 27th and they wil explain to me what is going to happen. Do u think by that he meant bcuz he does not have proof of it?

No, he said that because you need to set up a court date. He has proof in your acknowledgement of guilt. You need a lawyer

Cops aren't required to have "proof" per se on a traffic violation. There is no legal standard that says we have to show you the speed we clocked you at. Many do show it out of courtesy. The proof is the ticket and what is written on it.

As far as talking to cops, most of the time (barring we just caught our spouse cheating or something on that level) we are like mirrors. We will reflect what we are given. If given respect and courtesy, I like to return that. I cannot speak for all officers obviously but that is how I try to do my job. That being said, I haven't written a speeding ticket in years because there are other things to do. Also, it never hurts to ask for a warning. Worst they can do is say "no"

Go with a lawyer because the judge can take your license right then and there until all your court proceedings are over .

I agree! If you want any chance of beating this, you need a lawyer.

Careless/reckless driving is a more serious offense then typical speeding, good luck with your insurance if you get found guilty.

Call an attorney. It may be worth your time to ask a professional on this one.

Personally, I think you better get yourself into the brace position for when your insurance agent finds out about this and the 12 points.

Can you spell "u-s-e-d H-y-u-n-d-a-i"?

WAIT! I just re-read the ticket...you deserve to be screwed! 95 mph on a wet road in the snow? Are you kidding me? No judge in his right mind is going to throw this ticket out.

Not to mention in Medium traffic. As has been said this isn't a speeding citation. You were called out for reckless driving which is completely different. Good luck, but I think you are screwed. Lawyer up.

Read your ticket again ... He did not get you for speeding, he got you for careless driving ... Good luck fighting that one !!!
