Shocked that there isn't more mention of the '13 Challanger around here? - Page 2

How is dodge late to the party? As far as i kno chevy gave up in 02. Leaving just the mustang. Then dodge jumped in its spot. Then LASTLY Chevy came back in. Also FORD has been supercharging mustangs for a while now. Noww all a sudden chevys throwing supercharges on cobalts,vettes, and now the camaro. Yea theyre late too, following right in FORDS footsteps.

"active suspention"? The 2012 SRT8 handles better than the 2011 that doesnt have the active dampening suspention. Also as far as a "cant overcome basic laws of physics" statement.....I guess the new ZL1 "overcomes" the laws of physics because its damn near the same weight as the SRT8's and outhandles the Mustang and SRT8 by FAR!!!!!.

Anyway, to get back on track, I bet the 2013 Challenger wont be much different than what it is now.

I would be down as long as you can keep the full warranty. Well more like if they would offer it for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. I want something fast to pull my Z06 on a trailer, and there is no more Trailblazer SS these days. :-(

Its not really that hard to understand that this is not a "chrysler forum" but when a thread about a DODGE is started by a Camaro forum member, IT BECOMES ONE in the thread.

(The Barracuda) I guess it will be based off of some Alfa cars platformm "The 8C Alfa Romeo". But it will be RWD. And NO it wont be based off of that Dart platform LOL. The Dodge rep spilled the beans a few days ago when talking about the new Dart. He screwed up and said......." OHHH yeah, the Barracuda will be coming out in 2014"........We were like "HUH???" OOOOps. He said they didnt know if they were going to continue with the Challenger (pause the production) or do a refresh on it. The Barracuda will be a "Mustang sized" 2 door RWD car. Didnt know what engines will be offered in it. Knowing Chrysler, I will believe it when I see it.

The Barracuda would probably be more interesting than the current Challenger. If I were in charge of Chrysler-Fiat, then I'd kill it even though it is flippin awesome.

I dont think the Challenger will be much different if any on 2013. I really dont think they will have a supercharger out yet. Possible for 2014 but who knows. They have been testing blower motors though.

The SRT392 isnt really in the same class as an SS or GT IMO. It's where the BOSS 302 is, and where an LS7 powered Z28 should be. The 6.1 SRT was more similar in performance to the SS and GT which is why I think they should have kept it as a mid level V8 option. The R/T isnt quite on the same level. A forced induction Challenger to go against the GT500 and ZL1 would be nice though. Competition is always good for the consumers of all three brands. I mean think about it, had the challenger and camaro not been brought back, the mustang guys would probably still be stuck with that lame 4.6 which is now outpowered by the V6 models from all three corporations.

An LS7 Z28........I would be all over that!!!! Would have to have an auto option though.
