I hate the just friends shit. I spend all kinds of money on a girl and she says she just wants to be friends. But I always seem to end up in the hole either way. LOL

How exactly would you dilute a girl? Make them butch?

Back to the original question: only if there's no attraction.

It is possible. One of my best-friends is a guy. We talked about having a relationship but we know we are much better off being friends. We just agrue too much about what is important to us.

Its funny one of my better friends is a girl. We started off by dating, even went on trips together and stuff like that. It became apparent fast that we didn't have the same personal goals in life and we started having a lot of fights about it. So when she asked me where I thought we going, I told her I thought we were better off being friends. Oddly enough that actually worked out I've been friends with this girl for about 3 years, we hang out all the time and there isn't anything "else" behind it.

This was our problem too and I am just not sexual attracted to him either. He is a good looking guy, but I just don't have any interest in him. We go to the movie, out to eat together, and hang at each other houses. There is no touching at all, like hanging out with a brother.

The funny or sad thing depending on how you look at it is that most of the girls I've dated since have thought something WAS going on there. My last one found this girl's email on my Yahoo contacts list once and went berserk. I know that's the perception that guys are always doing something, not all of us are.

I might add that this last girl I was dating had many guy friends. It never once bothered me because she couldn't tell a lie with a straight face, had she actually done something she couldn't hide it.

No truer words:

A woman has a close male friend. This means that he is probably interested in her, which is why he hangs around so much. She sees him strictly as a friend. This always starts out with, "you're a great guy, but I don't like you in that way." This is roughly the equivalent for the guy of going to a job interview and the company saying, "You have a great resume, you have all the qualifications we are looking for, but we're not going to hire you. We will, however, use your resume as the basis for comparison for all other applicants. But, we're going to hire somebody who is far less qualified and is probably an alcoholic. And if he doesn't work out, we'll hire somebody else, but still not you. In fact, we will never hire you. But we will call you from time to time to complain about the person that we hired."
