The Okie State fans rushing the field is the EXACT reason why no unauthorized individuals are allowed on the field in Austin. If you're on the field and you're not supposed to be, you can be guaranteed you'll get a night stick (or tazer
) to the face by a state trooper. They don't play around. There's actually some pretty stiff collegiate penalties if a student is caught on the field who shouldn't be there. Academic probation for a semester or two depending on what they do.

Bonus! Amara Darboh committed for the class of '12. What a great pick up! As for rushing the field, you bet your ass I was on the field after we beat OSU. It was incredible!

Why no coach of the year offering for Hoke? Holy crap. As high profile as RichRod was and the total FAIL he was and then Hoke comes in and has them on track to be a powerhouse again.
![]() Les Miles and Nick Saban have talent that even I could win with. And they go undefeated in a conference that has one or two undefeated teams every year. Once again, the only conference to allow an undefeated team. As fat as the National Championship game goes... the two best teams are in there. LSU and Bama would beat any team in the country 7 or 8 times out of ten. EASILY the two best. That being said, I have no interest in the game. NOT taking anything away from either team. But it's just not a compelling game to me. I'm thinking good evening to spend with my car.

Gotta agree on the Clemson v. West Virginia match up probably the next best bowl to watch besides the Chick-fil-A Bowl...just makes me hungry typing that bowl's name. Either way, should be just a fun bowl season to watch and obviously SEC claims another NC title in the dynasty! |

A given that Bama will win? LoL. LSU is going to leave no doubt who the best team is. They're playing great and Miles won't be so conservative this time around. Plus it'll almost be a home game for them. LSU takes it.

OK the BCS is out and so are the Heisman finalist.
Before I start I will not apologize for being an Alabama fan. Alabama is not to blame for this, what are they supposed to do decline the invitation? Well of course not. The problem is the system that is used. I do believe that Alabama is one of the top 2 teams in the country, that OSU's loss is worse than Alabama's, and that Alabama will win New Orleans. The BCS is totallly screwed up when 13 and 15 ranked teams play when 6 and 7 ranked teams are left out......because no conference can have more than 2 teams in the BCS games. Boise St's coach cried and whined on TV yesterday about the BCS....Problem is WHO IS BOISE ST......they are a nobody, if Chris Peterson is soo good then he should get one of teh open coaching jobs...problem is he doesn't want one. Boise St would not be an 11-1 team in either the PAC 12, Big 12, SEC, Big 10, Maybe the ACC.......So either move to a bigger conference or shut up Boise St. Unfortunately it is what it is and the winner on Jan 9 will be the National Champions......In 2003 LSU had 2 losses and won the title... Some years, as in 2004 Auburn, a team has a right to complain. OSU's complaint is that people would like to see the BIg 12 offense against the SEC defense, problem is we have seen that before with Florida-OU, Alabama-Texas and for whatever reasons the SEC teams won that game.....The only game this year was Tex A&M vs Arkansas and Arkansas won ( after an A&M collapse) but Arkansas defense is nowhere near Alabama or LSU. Alabama claims 13 National Championships because someone voted them as National Champions.....remember the system years ago....and is why the BCS was made. This year is an exception because if USC wasn't on probabtion they would be playing LSU and the point would be moot. 5 weeks ago there was turmoil over the BCS when so many teams were undefeated and now look at what we have...Turmoil because of so many one loss teams....But like I said earlier you can not blame the school because the schools involved had nothing to do with it they just have to live with the results.......

Now for the Heisman finalist.
Trent Richardson will not win the Heisman since there is so much Alabama hate out there right now. Voters are turned off by the BCS results and it is really unfair to the player. The winner will be RGIII from Baylor and he is an exciting player, made great plays won big games etc....... Problem is that the Heisman for many years has been the best player on the best team and Baylor is not the best team....a good team but not the best. Honey Badger.......this is an absolute JOKE. The invited a player that was suspended for failing a drug test. The Heisman is SUPPOSED to mean alot more that what it is turning out to be and if you fail a drug test then you shuld not be eligible. With the exception of Reggie Bush, and OJ Simpson most of the past Heisman winners carry themselves with class and dignity and continue to this day..........Even with Cam Newton...he was cleared by the NCAA earlier this year and has continued to impress on and off the field. Below is a list of Heisman winners for the past since 1970. With teh exception of Bush all have been pretty good people and players since they were awarded the Heisman. ( I do think the Bush was the best player in College football though) Sure there are a few who have quirks like Ricky Williams and Matt Linart but if memeory serves me correct none of them faile rug tests in college, I could be wrong and correct me if I am....I just don't think the " Honey Badger" should be in New York. 2010 Cameron Newton Auburn QB 2009 Mark Ingram Alabama RB 2008 Sam Bradford Oklahoma QB 2007 Tim Tebow Florida QB 2006 Troy Smith Ohio State QB 2005 Reggie Bush Southern California RB 2004 Matt Leinart Southern California QB 2003 Jason White Oklahoma QB 2002 Carson Palmer Southern California QB 2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska QB 2000 Chris Weinke Florida State QB 1999 Ron Dayne Wisconsin RB 1998 Ricky Williams Texas RB 1997 Charles Woodson Michigan DB/WR 1996 Danny Wuerffel Florida QB 1995 Eddie George Ohio State RB 1994 Rashaan Salaam Colorado RB 1993 Charlie Ward Florida State QB 1992 Gino Torretta Miami QB 1991 Desmond Howard Michigan WR 1990 Ty Detmer Brigham Young QB 1989 Andre Ware Houston QB 1988 Barry Sanders Oklahoma State RB 1987 Tim Brown Notre Dame WR 1986 Vinny Testaverde Miami QB 1985 Bo Jackson Auburn RB 1984 Doug Flutie Boston College QB 1983 Mike Rozier Nebraska RB 1982 Herschel Walker Georgia RB 1981 Marcus Allen Southern California RB 1980 George Rogers South Carolina RB 1979 Charles White Southern California RB 1978 Billy Sims Oklahoma RB 1977 Earl Campbell Texas RB 1976 Tony Dorsett Pittsburgh RB 1975 Archie Griffin Ohio State RB 1974 Archie Griffin Ohio State RB 1973 John Cappelletti Penn State RB 1972 Johnny Rodgers Nebraska WR 1971 Pat Sullivan Auburn QB 1970 Jim Plunkett Stanford

Heisman??? I predict Andrew Luck. There's just so much love for him out there right now...
Now - silly question... I was looking at the schedule of bowl games, and noticed that some teams have played 13 games, while others only 12. Example - LSU is 13-0 and Alabama is 11-1... Why has LSU played an extra game?? Or does Alabama have another game between now and the bowl? Forgive me if that's a stupid question - I don't follow Alabama's schedule....

LSU had 1 more game because they played in the SEC Championship game....Like in years past when the Big 10, Pac 10 and now in the Big 12 where teams do not have a conference championship game.
The rules say to have a conference championship game you must have at least 12 teams in your conference. 20 years ago the SEC decided to have a championship conference game...other conferences have followed because of the revenue it generates.
