It's a tradition in my family to put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving. We put up the tree and all the inside decorations, outside is a different story. however, I do have a lot of FB friends that did their whole shabang this weekend too.

This is also my family's tradition they had the tree up on Friday and the lights out.

i thought this was a tradition for most people. tree and lights go up day or weekend after thanksgiving, tree and lights go down day or weekend after xmas.

Not EVERYONE's family does it. My hubby's family didn't do that. They would wait a week or so before Christmas then put everything up. Plus, it depends on if you are going real tree or fake. You can't or wouldn't want to put a real tree up that soon. All the needles would make a MESS!!

That's a hispanic thing to do around here. Never fails to drive around and only see houses that hispanics live in have their lights up. Not ALL of us do that though.
