The website only says G3, though I didn't look past the main page. So what you're saying is that you can buy a G3 Wave in the US ... where nothing on the car says 'Wave'?

I have no idea what GM is thinking with the Aveo (and now the G3 that I have never heard of before). It's a badge-engineered Daewoo Kalos. There's nothing conceptually wrong with a Daewoo, but the actual car is inferior. As mentioned above, the Cobalt is better in every way for barely any more money. What makes them think the Kalos will compete any better as a G3 than it does as an Aveo? 2009 Cobalt XFE: 25 city/30 combined/37 highway mpg -- MSRP $16,380 2009 Aveo: 27/30/34 -- $12,685 2009 G3: 27/30/34 -- $15,055 2009 G5: 25/29/35 -- $17,700 Ok, so the Aveo is actually significantly cheaper -- especially when you consider the deal you can get on a car that nobody wants. What added value do you get with the G3? WTF, GM?

GM does a lot of things that don't make sense. http://media.gm.com/servlet/GatewayS...=6&docid=53412 Sales chart's at the link...with the amazing 141 G3s sold for the month of March.

They'll change the front and steering wheel once again, this time reverting to Daewoo or Chevrolet badge and transfer them back to Europe and/or Korea. They actually sell not bad here as cheap (still not as good as Toyota Yaris, though) first-cars, mostly for women.
And yeah, in case anyone wondered why GM has to beg for public money despite doing decent cars -- this, i.e. underestimating marketing and not-defining your target probably contributes a lot.

I'd admit it if I did, but alas, my little econobox hatchback is less crappy and far more gay. The VW Rabbit is the gayest car on the market. It's a great car to drive but I fear that it sends the wrong message about me...luckily my wife doesn't care what I drive.
