Yeah I saw that, I think the OP was going to start going off the deep end about the soft paint. Hopefully we all steered him in the right direction with the insurance claim.

I hope... I am tired of thin paint BS...

I have a black 2012 Civic with less than 10,000 miles and its chipped to hell... Its just how it is now... EPA and all.

Most of it is conjecture but I have noticed that my last two Ford cars have had paint that wouldn't chip as easily as my Camaro. That being said, neither had eggs thrown at them.
