Tulsa, FSU, Missou, and Kansas were not championship first halves. If OU doesn't stop that shit they will be sorely disapointed.

Held Kansas to 6 yards total offense in the second half. First half was right at 250 yards. Similar numbers in teh ohter first half stinkers.

OU is playing similar to Alabama in that aspect....seems like they are playing to their competition. Alabama gives up big plays early on...see Florida, Ole Miss etc.... then comes back and pounds them in the ground. This is not a good way to play......They will not be able to do this against top teams like LSU/OU/OkSt.

I am not sold on Wisconsin yet...a 10-3 Alabama team absolutely killed a 11-1Michigan State team last year and I mean killed them. Sure Wisc QB is better but Alabama's defense is way better than last year.

I cant speak for the rest of the sooner fans but we all know PQ will come back win or lose and keep it real on what happened during the game.

OU looks really good...can they be beat.well of course any team can be beat on any given day.....But they look real strong. Their offense is explosive and their defense is physical.

The only thing I want to know is can they really stop the run since they really don't play teams who put an emphasis on running.

When a team can run the ball it will demoralize you especially if they drive it down your throat in a 10 play drive and then turn around and do it again. The defense will get wore down.

Like I have said before the lay off may hurt them from their last game till the BCS NCG and barring any injuries they should be in New Orleans on Jan 9th. Maybe OSU had a bad game against Texas or they may not be as dominate as OU.

Alabama has a couple of games that kinda worry me and this week is one of them. 2 years ago Bama had to block 2 field goals to beat Tenn, and a last minute drive to beat Auburn.....LSU is a given and Auburn is always a hard game.

Maybe I am just being a little naive about Bama but I have been in the stadium when La.Monroe beat Bama and in the stadium when we had a 24-0 lead on Auburn. Nothing is a given......a couple of lucky breaks one way and the game can turn in a instant.

Alabama is allowing 7 points a game average this year...if that trend continues then they will be hard to beat especially since Bama can run the ball with 3 good backs. The LSU game will tell alot about Bama, but the game after LSU will tell more.

I drive my son crazy with my objectiveness.

He's still young and a lot like me when I was his age. He get's pissed because I critisize everything. And yet he does it too but he says I do it even when they are doing good.

I try to explain to him that they may be doing good, but they want to be champions so they need to do it BETTER.

If the ultimate goal is to make any bowl game then they are doing great.

Me and him argue and argue and argue about it. I told him that I have earned the right to be overly critical. I'M THE GUY who sits in front of the TV for EVERY SNAP of the Bills going 0-8 and then 4-4 after that. Watches OU diligently after they lose a few and even 4 or 5 losses EVEN THOUGH I'm not a big fan of college football in general and don't give a shit about it after a couple losses because the season technicaly is over. And yet I still watch if it's on TV. I try not to but I just do.

He thinks I'm crazy because the Bills scored on a wildcat play and I was bummed. I'd MUCH rather see less gimic and more substance.

But, ya. I call it the way it is. I'm the perfect juror. I can see through the bullshit.

They're the real deal. A road grader offensive line, brutal running attack, and a QB playing at a high level. Defense isn't bad either. I expect and hope they pound MSU silly this week.

...and for 2 thru 4, not necessarily in that order!

I watch or GO to every game; win or lose; football and baseball. I'm not going to re-hash the whole game, play by play; it would make a person crazy! LOL! Besides, that's Stoops' job.

We've got some very good teams yet to play. One game at a time. One win at a time. Many a game has been lost because a team focuses on a future game, rather than the opponent that's on the field with them in real time.
There are always going to be nay-sayers and self proclaimed "experts" who are more interested in OU's failures than they are in their own team's successes. So be it.

I've already made the decision that I don't want to watch that game with them if it ends up that way. I'm much more capable of handling a loss than they are.


OH, and like I tell my son...... the key to being able to comfortably show up after a loss is to not talk ridiculous smack. Tell it like it is and be a fan, don't get dilusional.
