Typically pro-shop guys are PrimaDonna Dickheads, but they love to brag. Tell them how great they must be and ask them for some pointers.

Got me thinking on that one to . Maybe 300 series but I don't think that is right either .


For our league tonight is the 4th week and our 12th game.. that is when we are placed in divisions based on team total handicap . Really hope we don't get placed in A division and this years .

Do you bowl @ AMF Western Branch Thursday Night Mixed League? .... I used to bowl on that league, back in 2005-6 timeframe.

I think one of the things that really screwed me up is when i bowled my 14 pound ball into my left ankle...Dont ask how it happend cause i have no friggen idea, all know is it hit dead center, bounced off my ankle and went flying into another lane leaving me on my ass. Instant swelling and huge bruise. FML

Same here.... my insert came out and slam right into my left ankle...hurts like hell!

My insert didn't come out. I just get really close to my ankle on my release. Not so much anymore but used to for sure.

At the time I was releasing close the ankle and I payed dearly when that insert came out....I still knocked down 7 pins LOL...but limped off the lanes LMAO

I was talking to Marvin (Bee Sting) earlier this evening and he mentioned this thread. Told me I should come on in and post up.

I hadn't bowled in two years. Last bowled for 10 year with my wife and our friends in a mixed double league every other Friday. We considered it a night out with your spouse.

My buddy and I were decent carrying over a 195 avg. most of the time. We won the league a couple times. Just lots of fun and good times.

My wife and I stopped bowling until we get the last 2 kids thru High School. Way to much going on in our lives.

Now to the present. I got my son bowling a few years ago. WE have joined a Saturday afternoon league for adult and youth. We bowl two games a week.

My first week out I set my league avg. and shoot 234 and 221.

Following week I shoot 196 and 224.

After 2 weeks I am carrying a 219 avg. I wonder for how long..........LOL

By the way my 13 year old son is following in his coaches (me) foot steps.

Just shot a 212 in his Wed. youth league. Looking forward to keeping up with all that is going on in this thread.

My son doesn't want to bowl. I wish he would. I used to work with the youth leagues on Saturday in the early 90s and Special Olympics.

Expensive but fun.

Yeah I feel ya PQ.... I worked with the YABA league when I was stationed in Germany and getting them prepped for the tournament was a job .... but I had fun teaching and bowling with the kids
