You can find pretty decent deals on Sig 556s on Gunbroker.com.

Depending on which one you want, I have watched the price of those rifles drop a lot over the last year.

I'm looking to buy an ACR somewhere in my future to add to the collection.

I like the SWAT version. You can never have too many Picatinny rails

The SIG P556, is that just the same body as the full rifle, but without the butt-stock and a shorter barrel?

...and careful about your HP addiction. Mine so far has cost me two AKs - 1 Galil - and a K98 sniper. I had to buy a Ruger 10/22 and the new Archangel Marauder kit to drop it into just to remind myself that I am still a hardcore 2nd Amendment advocate.
That's what I was thinking. My favorite site is www.ar15.com (aka ARFCOM) It's not just AR-15 discussions, they also have bullpup, AK, FAL, 1911, and a slew of other discussion forums. I'm pretty sure each one has a For Sale section.

He told me that was the best damn answer he ever heard.

I'm getting out of the classic ARs and buying a couple of piston system rifles. Ruger 556; BM ACR; and the FN SCAR 16. Got the SCAR last fall and should have the dough for the ACR by the end of this year. Ruger 556 later next year. Still, my classic Colt SP1 AR is too cool for me to sell and I'm also keeping my BM XM15 carbine. My kid wants those some day. Too many ARs - not enough money. They are the erector sets of rifles anymore with the rail systems.

Yeah - I think I saw those used on TV. Got a boner for one, but I haven't researched them yet. Supposed to be very accurate.

Very accurate for a piston driven rifle....regular DI I would only buy Larue or Noveske...

If you find a buyer you have to find a FFL and the buyer has to find a FFL,Your FFL with ship it with a copy of his FFL license to the buyers FFL,His FFL with then do the transfer.

If you get a sig 556 do yourself a favor, fill out a form 4 and get the SBR version of the SWAt.Its kinda useful how you can go from a SBR to a PDW with the folding stock.
