If they only built a thousand a year, it would hardly make a difference on a fleet of 3.5 to 4 million like they had back when they showed the Sixteen.

Plus, if they made it heavy enough it would have managed to be exempt from CAFE. Thats why you'll often see 'Not Applicable' on the window sticker of large trucks or SUVs.

yeah... i don't like that Ciel. That's to a 70's Eldorado what the 2005 mustang was to the 1965. That's not 21st Century Cadillac. In fact they should sell them in bulk to street pimps. offer shag carpeting on the dash as an option and tiny gold spoke wheels.

It's not making it to production. Just a concept/design study.

Although supposedly it hints at the Omega Cadillac.

I'd like to see it with a roof...or the roof up...

The side view, with the way the light plays on it, is difficult to properly discern. Is the car supposed to be slab-sided, or convex? Hard to tell..

Even today, the Sixteen's design is all class and worthy of the "top of the line" crown. It could simply be renamed and offered with an L99 and LSA. I think the front of the Ciel is more Batmobile than Cadillac.

You struck a near-dead brain cell in my head...wasn't the original bat mobile a Caddy?

That said...some people thought the Camaro was batmobile, too...I can't comment on that - but both of these cars are gorgeous!!!

Lincoln "Futura" concept was what Barris built from...including the glass, fore and aft.

Before that, it was painted Red, and starred with Debbie Reynolds in a movie...

Some of the pictures of the Ciel actually make me think of a Hacker Craft mid-engine lapstrake boat, from the '30s-'50s...windshield has a marine influence, as well.
