Ooh, I don't think they've thought of that yet. At least they aren't requiring solar roofs yet. Wait until they realize the environmental impact of all those old depleted batteries they're pushing people towards...bicycles for everyone!

Ugh. People don't crank the A/C because the exterior panels of their car are hot. They crank the A/C because their INTERIORS absorb the light, and the glass in our windows isn't good at letting infrared come back out and shed the heat.

If they have to legislate the crap out of something, let it be windows - insist they let less light in or let more infrared out. Just don't let anyone get the bright idea of "highly reflective interiors."
