Nothing to be sorry about Ponyman. It must be hard for you to admit that OU is "equal" to TU as far as the Big XII goes. I mean with OU owning more Big 12 and National Championships that Texas, more weeks ranked in the top 10, higher winning percentage, etc.

For the record...A&M was the 1st BIG XII Champ and they do have a National Championship. granted it was a long time ago, lol

You need to recheck what you consider staying in the top ten "year after year" because TU is not as consistent as OU.

If TU wants to keep being a big fish in a little pond, cool with me. I like that A&M has the balls to go to a bigger & better conference. No one can argue that the SEC is head and shoulders above the Big XII. TAMU will take it's lumps in it's first few years in the SEC, I'd be a fool to think otherwise.

In the long run though, how many Texas HS recruits will shift from the Horns in an even more watered down Big XII (if it survives) to A&M in a conference with better overall competition, national exposure, and the last 6 national champs?

One more thing...how cool is it that TU's stadium is named after a Oklahoma native?

Yeah OU has had some good years over the past ten year and they have also put some Great fish in the pond at the next level.

The OU game is what gives TEXAS there hype each year The ATM games means nothing to the BCS.

The SEC wants everyone in the Big12 to come join but everyone but ATM would rather go to the PAC12/10.


oh and BTW

Charter , ATT uverse , Direct TV , Time warner have all said they will carry the LHN. The university is still working on what all is going to be on this network before its released.

I know this because my neighbor works for direct sales and she already showed me where its in writing before mid season the REGULAR sports package will include the LHN.

It's interesting how college football fans get so worked up and forget that the purpose of college is education... I remember my cousin giving me a hard time about the Cougs being so bad (I was at WSU when the NFL announcers were using the phrase "couged it" to refer to losing badly) - I reminded him that I was at the school as a pharmacy student, not as a football player....
I still love the Cougs, win or lose. You can't spend that much time in a podunk town like Pullman, WA and not be a fan for life...

I see your point.....but my wife will be the first to remind others that she graduated from The University Of Texas School of Pharmacy.........ranked in the top five in the nation. Boy she does love her Longhorn's......also!!!

The point of what I was saying is that for all the great things that Texas (you happy Jekyll? LOL) has accomplished, it's not like they are alone. I'm not a Sooner fan but I can appreciate what they have accomplished just as much as I can appreciate what TU has done. I just like the underdog. Don't get me wrong, I'm an Aggie but I'm also a Texan. So, when the TU and OU play, don't get it twisted, I want to see Texas boys beat Oklahoma boys every time.

And yeah A&M was 1998....oops, my bad. '98...'96...whatever, it's been that long and it's been the only one. Guess I should be able to keep better track of a single conference championship, huh?

Sorry about how Aggies relatives treat you, but I'm not them. I have cousins that attended TU and my sister graduated from TT, we all have fun picking at each other and game days are a blast.

Everyone in the Big XII wants to go PAC 12? That's not what OU voted last year. They voted to go to the SEC with A&M to keep a natural geograhic rivalry before the Big XII "resolved" things.

As far as TLN...read what I said again...so far, no one has picked it up. I never said no company ever will. What kind of fool would think that TLN won't get picked up in the State of Texas? They've been working on TLN for a year now, it kicks off in less than two weeks. It'll be a last minute deal, but someone has to give. Neither side wants to be that guy.

Cable deals in the State of Texas are big time money. Wasn't it ESPN and Time Warner that had the big blow up last year over cable rates in Texas?

You think A&M will get beat up in the SEC? I already said that too....for a little while maybe. If A&M is so terrible, and TU so superior to everyone, then why doesn't TU schedule a game against a SEC Team? LSU is right next door and Arkansas was a conference foe in the SWC.

As far as the annual Horns-Aggies game, yeah, TU said last year that they would end the series. TAMU said they would want to keep it.

You say that Aggies make it personal but you will pick ANY team over A&M and that's not personal? Damn, even I stick with the home state. So to answer your question....yes, it is somewhat sad you would pick the Sooners over the Aggies. But that's your choice.

All looks OK. QB (Robinson) seems fine . No running back stand out.That may hurt. Not sure on the kicking game last years punter on 5 game suspension.
But all in all things seem to be going for the good. New offence will make defence better . (clock time)
I will give them 7 wins remember we play a Nebraska and give up a soft big ten team in there place. Media picks 7 to 8 wins . They are on the way back.
Real good recruiting class so far 2012.(top 5 so far)
