Hmm, your lack of response makes me think that I am sooo far wrong that it's unworthy of reply. Okay, I can live with that. But could you supply a little small hint.
Here, I'm gonna try a bit more. "Sty" is where swine are kept; that's probably a red herring. "Sty" is also a chemical prefix as in "styrofoam". "Lite" is also a word bit from the plastics industry.
Could "stylite" be a type of plastic's trademark name?

I looked it up and after I read the definition, I realized I've heard of these people before.

His hint is a good one. In fact, people nowadays do this as a stunt.

Oh, yeah, I HAVE heard of such hermits. They effectively set themselves atop an unscalable crag of rock, they have a rope ladder or its equivalent which they pull up after themselves, and there they stay for their own salvation. I believe there are such hermit/martyrs at it even today somewhere in the Balkans. Am I right?

I just know that sitting atop flag poles and such was a really big thing in the 1920's. That's where my guess came from.

That's all fine and good. Our immediate problem is that Texas2SS ain't responding to our efforts.

I say that you, Stieger, re-start the game.

Ooh, the old men's clothing shop. Harry Truman listed his occupation as haberdasher.

New word: "Bowline" It's pronounced "bow lin".

Nah, funny though, in a sorta' limited way; Just kiddin'. HINT: it has to do with fundamental rope usage. Remember "around and up the rabbit hole..."
