there's enough "stuff" to keep me busy elsewhere without that thread adding to the plate.

my personal feelings towards that thread are simple. I can't look at it at work and I can't look at it at home with my wife sitting next to me. so it being gone doesnt bother me one bit.

the biggest thing with that thread is how easily it got out of hand on a daily basis. most of you never saw the obscene comments or a lot of the other stuff that gets removed by us. so all you see is us shutting down the thread and members bitching about it wanting an explanation. there was a reason I posted in there about informing the ladies to report PM's and VM's to us.

its easy to get carried away with threads like that and continue to push the line further and further. one person posts this and you think "well, if he/she can post that, I can post this"

then it goes back and forth with everyone quoting and "one-upping" everybody (which makes for more posts to go thru and remove) until we finally realize that we've spent 3 hours trying to clean up a handful of pages.

that wasnt the first "ladies" thread to get shut down either. We've had 2 or 3 over the years and they all end up being taken too far. that being said, we may open up this one, or we may just start a new one later on once things have settled down. for now, its closed.

I can vouch for the creepy PM's and then they spill over onto Facebook. I actually had a guy PM here, then he added me on facebook (didn't know it was the same guy) and then he started stalking my girl friends. Skip didn't like it much.

And the same happened with the last thread, I mean its nice to get compliments and to have fun with the girls but its the few that take it too far that really ruin it.

np. I'm a "bang for the buck" type of guy. I'd rather spend $500.00 on used headers than spend $2k on new ones. they still do the same thing, used ones might not look as pretty, but you aren't looking at my headers when I blast by you at the track.

that and I'm not a car show kinda guy anyway.
