i honestly love both cars and im not trying to argue. if you dont want to believe me i honestly dont mind as everyone is entitled to their opinions. They especially got pissed off at Kaler who is a Camaro5 member, ask him... They accused us both of squeezing while our hoods were popped. I invited them to take a look.

As in my previous thread i did state that i had wished i would have taken video of their lock in times painted on their windows, it was truly sad...

Not making excuses but traction is a problem with them on stock tires for the average driver. You running drag radials? What ET's were you running?

Kaler went 12.5

Both our cars have long tube headers, catless exhaust with cai intakes and he has an SCT tuner and ive got the Diablo..
I wouldn't call that a fair comparison then.

Stickier tires, full exhaust, tune, CAI.....

Put the same stuff on those 2011 GT's and you will see tail lights with a decent driver. Far from apples-to-apples.....

Every single one of your posts is full of fallacies and bad arguments. You're arguing points that the OP didn't even talk about.
I got my 1SS for 31K so it is very possible to get a 2SS for 33K. The OP pointed out all the things that the SS has STANDARD vs the GT. In fact the 38K Mustang STILL doesn't have the the standard features the 1SS or even the LS have.

and why in the world did this turn into a racing thread. The OP mentioned nothing about the SS being faster.

Fanboyism truly is an ugly thing.

Okay.... The Camaro lacks a lot of stuff the Mustang has, what's your point ? Like a full glass sunroof ? You can't have that on the Camaro even if you wanted.... The Mustang is a cheaper car(that hasn't drastically changed since 2004 when the S197 debuted) in the first place. That's not a fallacy. It has less features, it costs less. That's not a fallacy. Hell, I don't even care. Haha, that might be why my arguement has holes in it. We are arguing about subjectivity, I was trying to through some solid objectivity into the arguement(price). Yet it was shot down.

Let's compare features on a Maserati GranTurismo to a BMW 128i. An extreme example, but the more expensive car will almost always have more features. Except for many BMW's, in which features like seat heaters, nav, power seats, or real leather are all optional.

Just an FYI:

  • 2005 was the first year of the S197
  • Both cars have features the other doesn't. It is called market differentiators
You are right about subjectivity. Everyone has an opinion and they are entitled to it. It doesn't make much good to argue about it however the OP did have a few items incorrect. I.E. trunk release, modern A/C controls, this Mustang chassis goes back to the Fox body design and a ton of opinion. He should expect some feedback for those items. He likes his Camaro better and there is nothing wrong with it. Nothing wrong with choices.

I was referring to the S197 debuting in 2004 as the 2005 MY.

There is another one coming up, ill MAKE SURE to take pics of the consistent 13.4's, bit for your sake ill take into consideration my stickier tires and try to aim at a 2.50 60' time instead of a 2.36 just to even it out...lol

Just the opposite at our track buddy. If they were running the same mods on stock tires then I would love to see what 60' times they were running with 13.4-14.0 times. It would have to be in the 3 second range. Just doesn't add up with everything that has been documented to date with the 2011+ GT even with horrible drivers.

BTW - I ran those times on stock tires, factory 3.73, horrible track and a D/A of 2,400' above SL. I am talking 0 traction and had to run with TCS on the entire evening.

Your story just doesn't add up....
