So now I am putting my oldest through ROTC for the Air Force. He comes up to me and says... "Dad, you know I will Commission next year right?" I nod my head with a big ole grin "yep you know I am super proud of you!" Ben says, "I want you to pin me." Well I can't tell you how awesome that is and what an HONOR it is. "It would be an honor Son!" Ben said, "There is a catch... I want you to be in your Class "A's" when you do!" The color drained from my face as I knew there was NO WAY I could or WOULD try to wear my Dress Uniform in my current state. He wants a picture for both of us of me giving him his FIRST SALUTE in our uniforms! I know I am an old soldier but rarely I can get choked up. THIS DID! So I told him I would do it!

So I started out at Christmas last year 2010, with a total weight loss goal...70 pounds.
Starting weight was 265lbs.
As of this morning... 227lbs!!!
The down side is I can't seem to break 225! I have been hovering at this point for a month!

I still have almost a year to go to get those OTHER 30+ pounds!!

Please add me to the group!

What is a wonderful story! As an Air Force Officer, I know how much that means!!

Congrats on your weight loss so far! You have come to the right place to help ya get rid of those 30 remaining pounds!!

BB is right on the mark with her advice!! That is exactly what I would recommend!

I usually go run four times a week for 35 miles and lift at the gym four times a week. Since this week is inventory for 5 of my stores that presents a little problem because they are in the morning at 6AM. Since I have to drive some two to four hours to get to these places that means I have to get up at 3AM at the latest which, means when I get home it will be 105-110 out this week. The issue isn't so much lifting because that's obviously inside but I'm an outdoor runner. My genius plan today was to double down on a run and got up at 5:00 AM to accomplish said task. I just got back 25 minutes ago from said task and I'm a little dehydrated, anyone got a solid idea on an energy drink?

I like the Gladiator at Smoothie King or if you want to buy some online I like the Beach Body recovery formula. But for immediate, water and or the low calorie gatoraid or powerade.

Thanks, I'm trying not overload on the water at the moment. Hasn't had the best effects in the past when I've run marathons my understanding too much too fast drains what is left of your electrolytes out.

This is true. Then maybe go grab some Gatorade, I think G2 is the less sugary one that doesnt have as many calories but all the good stuff.

Girl, that's one of my only vices...well that and beautiful women. I've been drinking these cherry limeades lately that are out of this world.

2oz Cherry Vodka
1oz Lime Flavored Sweetener
Pour over ice in a tall glass
Add Sprite Zero

DELICIOUS!

But alas, it's time to be disciplined.

Ooo that sounds good!! I'm going to try that! I usually just put 2oz of tequila in a glass with 1oz of simply limeade and a slice of lime. I'm weird though.

My only vice is fajitas from Chuys. I have limited myself to once every 2-3 weeks.

I love margaritas, but give me Tequila and it's like dr. Jekyll and mr. Hyde. I'm usually a pretty reserved guy, but Tequilia makes me wild. I'm talking dance on the roof of my truck in my underwear with a towel tied around my neck like a cape and a big straw cowboy hat on wild.

The Cherry Limeade is a drink I had a Chuys. My fav from there is the Elvis Presley Combo. MMmmmmm.

I'm officially Healthy.

Had my yearly physical and dr said everything is looking good. Great liver values, cholesterol, BP, etc. Told me to keep on lifting and living the high life. So, I'm off to finish my beer and to go pick up a carton of smokes.

fine. I'll finish my chicken breast and I'm off to go pick up some steaks to grill.
