There are multiple plants for each truck. I think GM and Ford each have one truck plant in Mexico and a few others spread around the United States. I know that GM has shut down their Oshawa truck plant

Didn't know that, I just remember seeing a Silverado on the lot when getting my Camaro that's origin of assembly or whatever percentage was higher for Mexico. Yes, the money does still go to Japan but all the American's who work at the plant in Texas still get paid. Honestly, I really don't care where or who the money goes to because most of anything goes to the government and fat cat CEO's. I mean, I just bought a Subaru and it really doesn't bother me that its a Japanese car.

The profit from a vehicle sale by an American automaker goes towards paying more American workers than any Japanese automaker would dream of employing. Not to mention strengthening our economy rather than some other country's.

The hilarious part of all of it is that idiot bought a vastly inferior product with his hypocrisy. There's a good reason Tundra sales lag far behind GM and Ford every month.
