Crude oil dropped 9% today....
Crude oil just dropped $10/ 9% today, with the crude oil trading slightly below $100 a barrel I wonder when and how much effect we will see at the gas pump...

It takes a while before we see that at the pump...

Well, if that went UP by $10/bbl, we would see it ASAP. Since it is a price drop, maybe we'll see a bit over the next few days, but a drop an equivalent drop (should be around 5-9% less at the pump) will not happen.
What the hell, maybe they will celebrate the cheaper crude prices by jacking up the price at the pump! |

There have been a few smaller oil price drop in the last few weeks and the pump price didn't reflect the change, but those were like 1-1.5% minor drops.
If we don't see any effect on the pump price after a 9% drop then it's seriously messed up....

If oil get big recovery(maybe a 5% recovery in 2 days) from here they will jack up the pump gas price again...

I agree, when crude goes up so does the price at the pump, when it goes down it takes weeks! By that time it goes back up, so wammo , we see no change!

Also when crude goes up gas goes up immediately. Then prices for goods and services go up because of gas prices. Then crude goes down and everything stays the same.

Don't worry it will go back up whenever something does bad in the middle east again.

It wont change. Our inflation is out of check and the value of our dollar is one of the reasons gas is rising for us but falling or staying the same for everyone else in the world.
