My wife and I were with our friend and her husband in the hospital. He had fallen very ill and was on life support. We waited for several hours while the wife and daughter mourned, watching their dad/husband pass on.
I had never seen someone die before, and it was an amazing experience. There was a lot of emotion in the room, and at first I was just completely weird-ed out. There had been lots of drama in the life of this family, and it had all come to form in that hospital room. The mother and daughter had a certain perception of "how he was" but my perception was different.... On the way home, my wife and I talked about what we had experienced, and the overall feeling in the room. I told her that I heard him talking, right when he took his last breath. My wife said she did too... We both heard him say "I am sorry for leaving you". And we both felt an incredible amount of regret (from him) because of all the drama that had been happening in their lives. I KNOW it was him, and there's no way to prove it... Jason

i haven't had many strange experiences that couldn't just be chalked up to bad wiring, but the shows are interesting. ghost adventures is my favorite, not because of the evidence, though it is pretty good sometimes, but because of the way they conduct the investigation, its amusing, especially when aaron trips on something...in every episode haha

My wife and I had an experience about 6 years ago. Long story short, Our door bell rang waking us up about mid night or so. No one there... Wife went into check on our daughter. She was burning with a high temp. She called "ask a Nurse" Told her to call back in an hour. The door bell rang again, one hour later. Temp was down. It totally freaked us our. We both swear it was my deceased Mother.

I used to go to cemeteries and stuff with friends to try to spook ourselves and I always brought a voice recorder. I only caught anything once but it was spooky as shit to hear it back (I didn't hear it at the time).
At one point there's a noise that sounds like running water right on the mic (like flowing water) and it mutes out us talking a bit. No explanation. Then I saw a grave so old the name was gone and I said something like "that sucks, want to tell us your name? I'd be pissed if no one could know my name" or something along those lines and right after (on the recorder) you hear what sounds like a man's voice whisper "McAllister" twice. VERY ghostly whisper voice and it's giving me complete chills just thinking about it now. We tried to figure out how it could happen if it was fake and the best we could think of is that the mic rubbed my pant legs in a way to make a sound like that but there were a few problems with that scenario - It was "said" twice and the second time was slightly fainter, I was holding the recorder at chest level about 8' away from me, and to achieve the motion it would take if it was my pants I would have to be walking with my hands swinging. There was a TON of leaves there that we were stomping around on with EVERY step. Most of the sound is us crunching through them. We were completely still in front of this grave and giving it a minute just in case we could catch something. NO one moved an inch when it was caught. I've had other unexplained stuff but that was the best evidence wise. I'll share another if anyone's interested but it's more odd and I don't have the recording anymore. Also the WORST ghost show is Paranormal something or other with the kids from Penn State (I believe). Truly horrible. Sad part is that there's a psychic named Jane Doherty who is supposed to be the real deal and they use her name as a reference. Jane actually worked with a paranormal group that a friend of mine's sister founded in Pt Pleasant NJ called Paranormal Visions that at the time was revered in the "ghost investigating world". THEY have the cooler stories |

My wife is obsessed with the ghost shows. She especially loves GAC, we meet them at a conference last year in Philly. I used to enjoy Ghost Hunters until I realized they never find crap and when they do, its fake...
Heres my wife with GAC

![]() ![]() If they really wanted to inject some reality into those shows, they would have the cameras follow the hosts into their banks while they laugh the whole time.

I at least like Ghost Hunters. They admit when a place is a bust. You turn the lights off and the Ghost Adventure guys freak out!
