Hate to nit pick, but being an electrician I can't help but point this out. The rate at which the AC current changes is called frequency. In the US it is 60 cycles per second or 60 Hertz. At 60 hertz the "direction" of the current flow changes from negative to positive 120 times per second.

Meh, if it was for a writing based course then its not likely to be noticed. If it were for a technical class, its a bit different story

yeah, it's a writing course. I did one a while back on Forced Induction, too. hee hee. This man has no idea what I'm talking about, so he focuses directly on grammar and such

Genius!

Not to worry ..... I tend to sweat the details and since it was a writing based course grammar counts more than technical data.

I think I'm gonna mutate this thread a bit...

I read a quote in a book we're reading for school; "The World is Flat".
It was a quote from the chief executive of Rolls-Royce. And he said:

that they're a global company...okay.
That in the UK, they are a UK-based company...okay
And in the US, they're an American Company...:eek:What!?!?!

Does anybody here consider Rolls-Royce to be an American company? Cause...if so, I missed the train on that one.

By that logic, McDonalds in Russia is a Russian Company. Nope, you are where you come from. Where you are doesn't really matter
