Well the Royal Purple is the shops preferred brand, but I already called them and asked they not use it.

I like the VVT, but I can't maximize the 419's potential with a VVT cam.

what the diff in potential? ohhhh i dont like the slp 160 temp either...these engines today are designed with diff metals that operate at higher temps you are asking for trouble here

I didn't know that about the 160. I'd seen quite a few others use them and hadn't heard of any issues. I'll do a little more research then.

I'll never use a synthetic unless the engine requires it. Seen too many classic car engines burn up with Synth.
