Who needs brakes when you have a minivan in front of you?

Exactly. Not only have we invented the fastest accellerating motorcycle on the market, we've also developed the quickest way to stop....it's called the MINIVAN.

The torque in an electric vehicle is pretty much instantaneous, while a gas engine takes it's good-ole' time reaching max torque. I'd buy and electric bike in a heartbeat! -one with brakes, of course... And if you can put that kind of mad acceleration in a Camaro... I'd be done buying cars the rest of my life.

I just saw a thing on it on TV, it does the quarter mile in 8.08 seconds. That is a record for an electric vehicle. They are aiming for around 6.7s, the record for motorcycles

Not only is torque instant. Most Electrically-driven cars have torque ratings of deisel proportions. Basically making a car/ or bike feel much, much faster than it really is. i.e. Tesla roadster: 0-60 in less than 4 seconds, but only a 125 mph top-speed.
I'd take it. |

Could you imagine going 0-125 in 11 seconds w/ the only sound you hear being the wind as it passes??? Or maybe the "#$%%^%$ E#$$" as your accelerating!!
I said it once before in another thread. The electric cars freaked me out the first time I saw one run. It was a Prius that backed up. I was getting ready to tell the guy he had to turn on the car first...I was looking at him like, "you moron..." because he was having problems getting it to move... until the darn thing just backed up w/ the only sound made, being an acorn that was crushed as the car reversed. |
