Delicate subject?

At least you won't be working all day, every day for the next 5 months.

Needs metallic flake. And a tinge more green than yellow. But those are my two Lincolns. Honestly, I'd do an SGM spray..

Haha. Its supposed to be a pearl. I have been debating spraying some clear metallic over the top when I'm done laying the color, instead of just a standard clear.

As for SGM, that would be about 10 times as expensive as doing it this way. I can get all the materials for this for about 200 dollars, and spray it with the equipment I already have. I'd have to take it to a body shop for SGM.

Also, this is a Lacquer paint, not a water-based paint like SGM. Won't be *quite* as glossy but it'll be a ton more durable.

Laquer? Why didn't you say so? A good initial buff job and it'll just be a little wax here and there as far as upkeep's concerned. Metallic clear + Pearl.. not sure if those would clash. But if it's showing like that in a normal photo; I'd say go for it.

Looks too yellow in the photo though, maybe that's just the image settings.

And god damn I'm gonna punch lady luck in the face for bad timing. Got a guy that has all the trim parts to finish my cleanup of the T/A and I'm just now filing my taxes.

5 weeks.. guh.

Ten times as expensive as the route you're going would only be $2k. That's cheap for a good paint job with a nice metallic flake. It would be worth saving the money for.

Well, the paint job isn't going to be cheap anymore. Walked out of the movie theater to find this:

Attachment 220620

No insurance info, no note - just a few pieces of glass from their headlight.

What a wonderful going-to-basic present.
