I respect the Mustang as much as I can...but the topic was, if I remember right: "Will ford counter GM with a more powerful Mustang"....

This (taken from the article above) doesn't bode well in my book:

Seriously though, with that the Camaro will be faster than a speeding Bullit

Yeah I am disappointed with the Bullitt too.

A year ago there were some rumors of a 4V 4.6L coming back, but this car is basically a factory produced Shelby GT. Or just a mustang with cold air intake, tune, and a beefed up suspension.

To be fair, this isn't a counter to the Camaro either. Technically there is nothing to counter yet.

Ricer? Heck no. She calls'em ricers too. But...our Kia Sorento (loaded SUV) kicks the sh!t out of it's comprable Ford Escape any day. Believe me...I wanted to buy an american...but none of them could compare to the Kia Sorento on quality and cost per options. A base line Escape was running the equivalant to a completely loaded Sorento.

I know that

What I meant was...if they do something similar...add, dare I say it...even 30 hp  then I can sit in my "base" V8 and idle past all the 'new' Mustangs comfortably.......

The new Bullitt Mustang looks great, I have to say. They reviewed it on Edmunds, and it sounds like a pretty competent car. Still won't compare to what we're projecting for the Camaro based on GM's current powertrains and what we know of the Zeta hardware, but a decent step forward nonetheless. Looks great too.
