This is such a NO frigging brainer. Gm and chevy are the same and it's on my car as such with the gm chiklits or the bowtie. Not a thing wrong with calling chevrolet....gm. It's not are fault the are brand has a nick name.

I've been a Chevy owner for most of 35 years and love every one I've owned. I support Chevy. I blacked out the chevron for the looks not that I don't like them. But face it GM is the $ and controls all their divisions. They could pull the plug on anything at any time.

I LOVE chevrolet. I will debadge my camaro solely for the look. Gold and silver does not match my black and red scheme. I think Chevy is one of the few car companies getting it right.

Considering the fact i have owned 16 GM vehicles and currently have 2 NEW ones. I can call them whatever i choose. I think owning 2 brand new Chevy vehicles speaks volumes to my loyalty to GM. Besides, about the only people i ever actually hear in person say Chevrolet are Corvette owners. I never hear them say Chevy Corvette. Has no ring to it. But, i often hear people say Chevy Camaro or Cruze or Traverse ect..

I'm not suggesting that saying "GM" should be banned, I'm just saying at least half of you should be saying "Chevy this" or "Chevrolet that" instead of near 100% of you saying "GM this" and "GM that". It's like referring to "Charlie Sheen" by saying "Martin Sheen's son did this" and "Martin Sheen's son is saying that" - which is technically correct, but not respectful of the individual.

Is Chevrolet the same as Buick is the same as Cadillac is the same as GMC? No - they are separate individuals who deserve separate love. Can you feel the love folks?

I view them as historically managed in conjunction. More like Chevy is charlie Sheen's right arm and Cadillac is Charlie Sheen's left arm.... I guess that means the Chevy is grabbing a stripper while Cadillac is grabbing the pills
