This is why I'm moving out into the country at my earliest opportunity. Don't have to deal with stupid people as often.

My guess is they have a huge problem with junk cars in peoples front yards. There are environmental concerns to a rotting car.
I think a loophole in the law should handle all concerns.. something like you have to show intent to restore the car like a receipt for a part you bought.. could be a 99 cent hose clamp a receipt is a receipt. I try to see both sides of the coin. I have two cars being restored in my yard..LOL both are ugly at the moment but I see in my mind what they WILL look like..hahahaha |

CC Performance:
This isn't about environmental concerns. This is about nuisance abatement. |

This bill passed the House and is moving to the Senate. It must be stopped! Please make your voice heard TODAY!

I don't really have a problem with this law. I've been all over the eastern part of Arkansas and southern Missouri. I can tell you that if there are any legitimate gear heads rebuilding a car as a hobby, they don't need to do that in their front yard.
The whole area has MANY inoperable cars that people are too lazy to do anything with so they let them rot in their front yards. I wasn't kidding about the couches and washing machines on front porches either. Way too much of that nonsense as well. If people want to operate a junk yard, they can buy 10 acres and do it in the country. City limits, where you lower the value of surrounding property, is no place for this kind of stupidity. |

We sympathize. However, not all enthusiasts have 18 hours a day to work on their cars. That's why we have a common sense solution - model language that says that the vehicles be outside of reasonable plain view. This doesn't do that. Far more restrictive.
