The salesman from the dealership just called me and asked me to come in to the dealership to discuss the issue. I told him I don't think I'm responsible for anything else.

Call the salesman back and tell him "we have nothing to discuss".
"I have a signed contract by both parties".
Also tell him "Let your management know that they have just lost a good customer over a petty $1,300 and you will never ever be returning to that dealership for anything."

What the dealer should have done is called you and said:
"Hi Mr. XXX. We just realized that we made a big mistake when pricing your new Durango. We found that we undercharged you by $1,300.
We just wanted to let you know, so you understand what a great deal you got. We know you are a regular customer and we really appreciate your business. We hope you will think of us first, the next time you need a vehicle. Thanks again for your business!!"

You arent. Examine your paperwork, and unless it has a provision within it that they can do what they are doing, they are SOL.

Tell them that if they continue this course of action you'll be chatting with both Chrysler AND the B.B.B.

you cant really blame the salesman for doing what he's told. The problem is management there.

Actually most states do have a statute of limitation for such circumstances that override what the sales contract says but all the one's I've seen is only a couple days, not a month.

The OP is well pass any statute of limitation and as such is legally protected against any dealer recourse.

This is exactly what should have happened. The dealership keeps a good customer and everyone is happy.

And enjoy the new Durango. They are super nice. I looked at a Citadel here for the Mrs.

Call him back and thank him for bringing this to your attention, you'll be right in with a check. Then when you get there, tell him you have the check, but would like the opportunity to clear up an embarassing mistake you made on each of the 7 cars you purchased from them. let them know you inadvertently over paid on each car by $550.

Or ask to set up a payment plan $1 per month, and you will need a receipt.

BTW, the price codes are very easy to tell if it is employee price or family price. Employee price codes begin with "EP" and family price codes begin with "FP". I gave them an FP code, they showed me a price. I do feel bad for the salesman because he screwed it up. But, I also felt like they screwed me on my trade in even before all this.

I looked at the Citadel package and Crew package and decided the Crew had more than enough "extras". I do love this Durango. V-8 Hemi, NAV, bluetooth, backup camera, AWD, auto rear hatch, DVD, satellite radio, satellite TV, 3 rows, cloth seats, sunroof, auto dimming brights.

The dealer has handled this terribly.
