We discussed it last night and essentially if it is a car (Camaro) we'd take the car over the cash. However if it's just cash we'll still take it, for some reason our Milan is a 'hot commodity' over at the dealership we leased it from and they offered to buy it back.

That said the question if it's just cash is this: Sell the Milan back to the dealership and use the cash + 'profit' from the Milan to put toward a '11 Equinox LTZ lease or sell the Trans Am (Gain around 5K off the sale) and buy a used 1SS/RS?
if you have the option to buy, i'd do that.

There's a third option:

Buy an LS M6 at discount and keep both. And.. pay insurance on both (full coverage). The LS would be a DD (4 seasons mang!) while the T/A would sit and quietly get restored and preserved for autoshows and what not as one of the last Trans Ams.

Why do I waffle? The Bird is only 1 of 25 cars built with it's exact options. If I sell it is there a chance I'll be able to find it again 20 years down the road?

Doubt it..

Heres the thing, if you have an emotional bond to the car, I would never sell it unless it was a serious financial issue. I've only rarely used my 442 in the last 4 years, but I could NEVER sell that car.

Some people laugh at crazy people like us on this forum saying it's just a car. To some their car means something to them and is MUCH more than a rolling piece of metal.

Very true, and they (parents) know that. That car has a story for me all it's own so I'm not getting rid of it except in the cases you mentioned. However if the whole thing turns out true and we walk away with a cool 20K in cash.. which car gets the driveway?

2011 1LS
2000 Trans Am
2011 Merc Milan (mothers car, no remote start)

Do I be an evil bastard and boot her from the garage?
