You could pick one thing you really like about her and focus on that for a gift idea.
For example my fiance is a redhead so I ordered 11 yellow roses (blondes) and 1 red rose (her) they will be arranged with the red one in the middle of the yellow ones. And my card will read something like, "out of what the world calls beauty I picked you". And I am also getting her a heart shaped necklace with a triangle of little sapphires with a ruby in the middle of it (again yellow and red, see a pattern here). That is just my little contribution. This valentines day is really going to hurt the Camaro fund but I love her

If she ever asks why you love her you say "because you love me".
If she gets upset at a card that you write in and dinner then get rid of her. You don't need that. You'll have plenty of time to do some really cool things for her down the road.
Naw she is not high maintenance at all, she knows I work hard for my money and i know she works hard for hers.

My plans are not about spending more money for fancier stuff tho, I wouldn't turn into that kind of person.

Maybe Victoria's Secret

A nice romantic oil painting

A weekend getaway, even locally, but out of the house. I like Scottsdale.

High maintenance isn't only about spending money but about needing attention too. She sounds great but don't get caught too much up into V-day. I'm just saying anything you have to write will be good. And sure you should spend a little money too but if you know she's planning something big then let her be the lead this time. I've been through this. Been married for a couple months short of 17 yrs. You'll take some of the air out of her surprise if you do too much. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

irpq11 is right on track! Just keep it simple.

I will tell you a funny story about an old guy I used to help. He was a widower in his 60's, (but looked 15-20 years younger). Anyway, this guy would break up with his lady friends / fiancees every year just before Christmas, and not smooth things over with 'em until a couple of weeks or so after Valentine's Day (unless their birthday's were coming up, in which case it would be two or three weeks after that). He was one of the coolest guys I've ever met, and so damn funny too. Every year I'd get all over him telling him that you just can't do things like that. He'd always say something like, "sonny boy, you've got alot to learn." Anyway, he owned a jewelry store...and doing what he did, he saved more money than I could even begin to tell you. The bottom line is, if the chick is in to you, then she's in to you. If she's real materialistic, then RUN, don't walk, but RUN away, and don't look back.

In any case, ask her what all she want's option wise on your new Camaro. If it's also what you want, then tell her that will be her present. (That's what that old boy would have told me if I was asking him.)

don't try to outdo her. You'll regret it year after year. This year, she'd love a gift certificate to a day at the spa....facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, etc. she'll enjoy the day while being pampered.

EDIT: then you'll enjoy the night...ummm with a kiss on the cheek...you both are minors after all.
