Systolic pressure = blood moving out of heart, contraction. Diastolic = heart filling with blood.

Aneurysm = bulge in blood vessel, can lead to severe hemorrhaging.

Capillaries branch off from metarterioles. Sphincters control blood flow to capillary bed.

Formation of new capillary beds = angiogenesis. Facilitated by pericytes.

Biscuspid valves in veins open/close in response to blood pressure.

Sinuses located in liver/spleen/brain.

Varicose veins caused by backflow of blood in veins.
Ughhhhh, . Fen stop. I try not to think of my internal working. I can't even clean a scrap on my leg if I get one, i'll freak out. I make Skip do it. Blood + Jaren = pansy.

Don't worry, I freak out when getting blood drawn. I can stick needles in animals no problem, but I hate getting needles stuck in me.

Hahaha they are all attention whores. Hell Kiwi will throw a fit and start biting you if you dont pay her enough attention. Pookey will pat your face if you aren't patting her quickly enough. lol.

I learned to never fall asleep on the couch with one arm hanging off.... the cat would come up and bite or lick your hand . I had it jump right in the middle of my chest once and wake me up.... thus launching the cat through the air when I sat straight up!

some just party too hard though!

Kiwi sleeps in between my shoulder blades and nips my neck at night if i move. So I started bumping her off. Now she just fights me for my pillow. lol.

Jasper did that as a baby... Would explain why he weighs 15lbs now.

'63 Porsche with pop n' 3 kids vs '00 Trans Am.

Forget Bumblebee.. pulled a pass WOT and the jaw drop looks were priceless. In his defense pops kinda gave a wink and a nod for a rolling punch on the freeway. Waited for the free and clear and BAWWWW.

Pretty sure they heard it more than I did.

Just to expand on this a bit, an embolus can be any obstruction (a blood clot, or thrombus, is a specific kind of embolus), and can be in lots of places other than the lungs. Yes, pulmonary embolism is common but say one were to get a large enough air embolism, for example, which reached the heart. If the right atria were to contract while filled significantly with air, cardiac disrhythmia would likely occur.

The technical definition of embolus is:

Quote:
An embolus (plural emboli; from the Greek ἔμβολος "clot, lit. ram") is any detached, itinerant intravascular mass (solid, liquid or gaseous) as carried by the circulation and capable of clogging arterial capillary beds (create an arterial occlusion) at a site distant from its point of origin.[1]

P.S. - Also, ischemic strokes are not only caused by clots. Basically anything other than hemorhage is classified as ischemic. Thrombus, Embolus, or Hypoperfusion (such as from massive blood loss) can all cause ischemic strokes.

Never thought I'd step into the lounge and actually learn something. So Professor X have you found someone else to install your gears?

XP Racing will do it for 800 but they're booked until April.

The problem is the positrac unit may be shot. I might just get a minispool if it is.
