I really miss having a cat... although my last one was really sick for the last year or so... I'd kinda forgotten how much fun they can be til I went and held a little one a few weeks ago..... gosh, I want a new kitten!

Prothrombin converted into thrombin. Fibrinogen is converted into fibrin monomer by Thrombin. Factor 13 (fibrin stabilizing hormone) converted into factor 13a by thrombin. Fibrin monomer is converted into fibrin polymer by Factor 13a.

Blood clot formation is a thrombin mediated event.

After blood clot forms, thrombosthenin causes the clot to contract. This increases the lumen size of the blood vessel for increased blood flow. New basal lamina formed over opening in blood vessel. Clot dissolves due to plasmin enzyme. Plasmin enzyme dissolves plasmin polymers. New endothelial cell moves into area.

Two forms of strokes: Ischemic (Clot) and hemorrhagic (bleeding). Ischemic strokes kill neurons.

Thrombus = large clot, causes vascular obstruction.

Embolus = clot flowing in lumen of blood vessels, can block capillaries, usually blocks capillaries in lungs.

Awe. I love how fluffy and cuddly they are when they are that tiny... I have three kitty babies who have all had near death experiences and I can tell you now you would have thought I lost a parent or a husband or child the way i cried when we were going through it. My kitties are my kids. I come home and they are waiting for me. As soon as I sit on the couch they are in my lap and as soon as I lay down they come cuddle. Couldnt live without my cuddle bunnies.

mine used to do the same thing when it was younger.... used to follow me around and sit on my lap (or whatever I was looking at). Grab a newspaper and sit down.... the cat runs up and lands on it . What an attention whore!

Hahaha they are all attention whores. Hell Kiwi will throw a fit and start biting you if you dont pay her enough attention. Pookey will pat your face if you aren't patting her quickly enough. lol.
