I understand the idea of using concepts to show off the concepts... but as far as transformers go, it seems like a bad idea.

The whole idea of transforming is to blend in, and not look suspicious or draw attention.

Concept cars have the exact opposite effect.

The original cartoons had some crazy looking cars. Racing ambulances with sirens and motorcycles with no riders. There was a whole planet that transformed and Megatron didn't transform into a plane at first, he transformed into a giant laser pistol. Not exactly good at blending in.

All cartoons are intentionally stylized. and deceptions don't really want to blend in, then want to kill things.

All the other Autobots picked models off the shelf... Bumblebee took a crazy concept, and look where it got him. frozen and captured by guys that wear their organizational name on their underwear.
