2012 will have 1969 colors and graphics #3500models, 500LS models.

MSRP is 40,995. Dealers always seem to think that somewhat rare = guaranteed sale over MSRP, and there are plenty of car buyers who can't make a deal backing up their belief.

It won't happen. Electric is just a stop gap until hydrogen (as used by vehicles) becomes more readily available and affordable. The power grid infrastructure is already being stressed pretty hard. Could you imagine tapping a few million cars into that? Ethanol is a joke too. Growing corn for fuel when there are people starving....epic fail. Big V8 muscles cars are the true green cars because until we suck up and burn off all the fossil fuel there will be no huge demand for alternate fuel sources.

Hydrogen IS electric...and far away. Ethanol (not from corn) and grid electricity are the short-term solutions. Expect to see a lot of the former used in performance cars over the next two decades...


Back on topic......that's not as much of a markup as I thought. Are these cars limited production like the GT500 was?

Rummor has it a an 8000 unit total production run for 2012-2013. 4000 per year.

Hydrogen fuel cell powered cars are electric vehicles, where the Hydrogen fuel cell is the "battery".

True, there are hydogen fueled internal combustion engines as well though. Rotaries seem to work best.
