Becky keep up the hard work. Remember a goal isnt a Goal until its written out on paper where you can see it.

I like to say write your Goal down on a piece of paper and put it on the bathroom mirror or somewhere that you will see it daily.

be suprised what a little motivational piece of paper from yourself will do

You are right, and I've told the whole C5 family and everyone

:( Ice and snow, gym closed! Guess I'll have to run up and down the stairs, do sit ups, push ups,squats....not too motivated but I'll try. Having a 2 1/2 yr old in the house doesn't help too much. Won't be going to work tomorrow either, schools already closed tomorrow, no work either. 4 inches of snow here.

Gotta stay motivated. I could never drag my butt to a gym but manage to stay motivated working out at home

I just noticed this. Its not a news years resolution but a lifetime goal for me. I have lost nearly 80 lbs using P90x and simply eating much healthier. I will be glad to help as well. I have learned a lot over the last year of using P90x and the help that comes with it. To me my weight loss is not something i am going to hit and be done with. I plan to be like the creator, Tony Horton and make this a life time of health and fitness.

I completely agree. Thats why I kinda don't like setting a weight loss number, such as I want to loose 15 lbs. What next when you get to 15? I feel like when you reach your goal you are tempted to let off. So my goal is to be consistent about eating healthy and going to the gym 4-5 days a week.

SO TODAY...

Has been interesting... It started off really crazy and I forgot my snacks at home. So...

Breakfast: Smart one egg, ham, and potato scramble
Lunch: Lean cuisine.
Snack after the gym: handfull of cashews (YUMM)
Dinner: Chuck roast with potatoes and carrots (so pot roast)

Went to the gym and did about 50 minutes of supersets and then walked/jogged for 15 minutes on the treadmill. I AM SO SOOOOOOOOOORE. I am dreading tomorrow.

Is drinking to much water bad for you I was over hearing this past weekend that by drinking to much water you could kick the bucket. I have been drinking like 14 glasses a daysince Monday of last week. Water is all I have been drinking since my diet.

Figured I'd throw this out there. I've mentioned before about calorie tapering. This is today's and a typical menu for me. You will notice most of my starchy carbs are earlier in the day when your body is most likely to burn them rather than store them(fat). Also this is a training day if not calorie intake especially carbs would be lower

meal 1
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 whole egg
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (on)
1/2 cup no fat milk
1 tbs ground flax seed
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 bannana

meal 2
1 whole egg
3 egg whites
1 slice 12 grain bread
1 apple

meal 3
turkey chilli

meal 4
2 scoops chocolate protein powder (ON)
1 scoop maltedextrose
1 cup chopped ice (post workout)

meal 5

6 oz chicken breast
1 cup asparagas

Meal 6
mixed green salad
4 egg whites
a few cherry tomatoes
a few baby carrots
1/2 avacardo
rice vinegar for dressing.

Who ever said that? you should be drinking as much water as possible and as cold as possible but taper off at night or you will be getting up and not sleeping. Why do I say this. You need water to burn fat. The kidneys main job is to flush out toxins in the body. When dehydrated the body will hold on to all the water it can, without water the kidneys don't work so the liver kicks in to help. When the liver is taking up the slack of your kidneys flushing toxins it can't do it's job of burning stored fat as energy. High protein diets need more water than normal. Why should your water be cold. A calorie is a measurement of heat energy. Technically a calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 litre of water i deg centigrade Drinking ice cold water requires additional calorie's to raise the body's core temperature back to normal so colder water burns more calories than warmer water. Everyone should drink a minimum of about 10 glasses of water a day just for regular health, fat loss and training require much more. Also when your stomach is full of water you feel fuller.
